Roll up sleeve. Make sure your sleeve is not rolled up too tightly on your wrist. This may constrict the flow of blood in your wrist. Place the cuff over your left wrist with your left thumb facing upward and leave a clearance of approximately 1/2 to 1 inch between the cuff and the bottom of your palm. Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Place your left elbow on table with palm up. Relax and keep the cuff parallel with your heart. Press ON/OFF button to power on, the pump starts to inflate the cuff. After having reached the anticipated value of inflation, your blood pressure and pulse rate will be displayed.
